SATIN BONNET?.. NECESSARY OR.....

Someone once accused Nigerians for just embracing anything saying they look like "some old american nurses"...when I asked if she sold a reversible satin bonnet and then I just smiled...there's a lot of things people just don't know..

Everything has turned to fashion these days and some people are getting confused..some people wear satin bonnets to work and outside places but then they done know the actual use of it....
In my own knowledge which I think is right....satin bonnets are used to protect hair from cotton bedsheets and pillow..when we sleep and also help to lock in moisture...I mean preventing your hair from drying especially in dry seasons...
How's that possible?..
When you look at the type of fabric used to make a bonnet we see that either silk or satin are put to work ...silk Is one of the best when it comes to not easily absorbing any liquid(same goes with satin) unlike cotton,that soaks water or any liquid very fast...so when you lie asleep on your bed and you dont even know where your head is...the satin bonnet helps to protect the moisture in your hair from running out.
But there are rules you have to follow before using a bonnet;

1. Don't wear a tight bonnet your front hair/edges will be at risk...
Wear a bonnet that's in between not too loose not too tight.

2. Although it might seem weird,but the rough side of the bonnet will only make your hair more dry..the smooth side of the bonnet is what should be worn on your hair while the rough side faces outside or better still you get the reversible bonnet that has two smooth sides.

3.And then finally wake up to check if your satin bonnet has not fallen off your head..(lol)..
I'm also a victim...I wake up to find that my satin bonnet is out of place...so don't think you're the only one on the boat😁.

Satin bonnets, have a long way protecting your ends from moisture suckers,helps to prevent fairy knots ,split ends,and hair breakage...so don't look down on them especially if you have a long hair goal to achieve...

I don't know if you gained anything... but if you did...tell me what you think...ask me questions in the comment section and I'll give you my answer.....
